22 May, 2025

Luzzana will be responsible for supervising and managing the projects and activities of the holding company, while Lasbordes will have the responsibility of leading the new office in Aubervilliers and strengthening relationships within the French territory.

As part of the consolidation of its organizational structure, HModa announces the appointment of Cesare Luzzana as Group General Manager of HModa and Gilles Lasbordes as General Manager of the newly established HModa France.

In his new role, Luzzana will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing operational and project activities, overseeing the achievement of the strategic development goals set by the holding company, and reporting directly to Claudio Rovere, President of HModa. Cesare Luzzana has built a career spanning over fifteen years in the operations of luxury brands such as Gucci, Armani, Jimmy Choo, and Frette, and possesses specialized know-how in the textile and leather goods sectors. Before joining HModa, Luzzana served as CEO of MTWH for four years, a group with many affinities to the industrial aggregation model that characterizes HModa. The new General Manager of HModa Group will therefore bring extensive experience in the B2B sector, with well-established expertise in managing economic-financial aspects, business processes, and IT.

In order to strengthen its presence and positioning in France, HModa has established its local operational subsidiary, HModa France, which will be led by Gilles Lasbordes as General Manager. In his new role, Lasbordes will be responsible for exploring and driving growth operations in France, as well as consolidating relationships with major French luxury maisons and further developing the Group’s institutional relations. Among Lasbordes’ duties is also the implementation of a new hub in Aubervilliers, a strategic center for manufacturing development and the Group’s Parisian showcase.

After earning a specialized Master’s degree at the Institut Français de la Mode, Lasbordes began his career in 1995, holding positions as Buyer, Consultant, Sales Director, and General Manager. Since 2004, his professional path has been closely linked to Première Vision, where he managed several international trade fairs. In 2013, he was appointed General Manager of Première Vision and, from 2020, he has led the fashion division born from the acquisition of the trade show for young designers, Tranoï. His deep knowledge of the supply chain and key players in the textile, apparel, and leather sectors gives him an international strategic vision. Additionally, Lasbordes is a member of the IFM Alumni Board of Directors and served for several years on the Board of Directors of the Paris Good Fashion association.

Claudio Rovere, founder and President of Hind, commented: “In this phase of expansion and consolidation for HModa, it is with great pleasure that we welcome these two new professionals, key figures for the Group’s future growth in Italy and France, both crucial markets in the global luxury sector.

Cesare Luzzana has embraced the HModa project with great enthusiasm, recognizing the Group’s potential. We believe he can make a significant contribution thanks to his previous experience in the fashion world and his direct knowledge of the industrial dynamics of luxury brands.

Gilles Lasbordes, for his part, will be able to give strong momentum to the Aubervilliers project, which aims to create a strategic center for the commercial development of manufacturing, also serving as a showcase for the Group in France. His contribution will also be important in managing our investments in France, which are part of HModa’s international development strategy.”

HModa achieves Gender Equality Certification (UNI/PDR 125:2022) and looks to the future with new inclusion projects

12 May, 2025
12 May, 2025

The recognition consolidates the Group's commitment to more equitable and participatory work environments, supporting an increasingly responsible approach to corporate culture and structure.

An important step forward on HModa's path of sustainability and people empowerment, which will be enriched with new initiatives on training, internal listening and organizational well-being.

As part of its ESG and sustainable development path, HModa (Holding Moda) announces the achievement by the parent company and ten Group companies of the Certification for Gender Equality (UNI/PDR 125:2022), a recognition that attests to the concrete commitment to gender equality and the enhancement of human capital.

An achievement that involves more than 800 employees in the first 10 certified companies, demonstrating the scope and organizational relevance of the path undertaken. The certification – introduced at the regulatory level at the end of 2022 – is the result of a strategy that HModa adopted well before it was formalized at the practice level, and today represents an important stage in a commitment destined to continue and extend to the Group’s other companies.

Launched in 2023, the certification journey covered an in-depth assessment of six areas: culture and strategy, governance, HR processes, growth opportunities, pay equity, and work-life balance. Compared to an initial average of 30-40 percent of KPIs met, today all certified companies exceed 60 percent, with some reaching peaks of 80-90 percent, against assessment criteria made progressively more stringent between 2023 and 2025.

Veronica Bovo, Chief Sustainability Officer, and Fabio Longo, Chief People Officer, say: “We chose to undertake this path because it is deeply rooted in our corporate values. We believe that proper diversity management is a driver of innovation, and that corporate culture is built around people development, following the principles of respect and collaboration. The Gender Equality certification is not an end point for us, but a tool to measure progress and continue to improve”.

The journey toward full equality does not end with certification. All Group companies, including those not yet within the scope of certification, are in fact developing initiatives to consolidate and deepen the commitment, including training courses aimed particularly at those involved in the selection and management of human resources. Listening, support and assistance services are also being developed on the ground, geared toward inclusiveness and collective well-being.

Claudio Rovere, President and Founder of Hind, underlines: “This achievement confirms the centrality of people in HModa’s vision and is part of a broader journey to build a conscious, responsible and sustainable supply chain. Investing in gender equality also means investing in the quality of professional relationships and the ability of our companies to meet the challenges of the future”.

The certification adds to the Group’s more than 40 active projects in the areas of environment, circularity, supply chain traceability and training, consolidating HModa’s role as an industrial platform serving the excellence of Made in Italy fashion and manufacturing.

The role of Made in Italy in the context of global luxury: Minister Olivia Grégoire's visit to Beste SpA, an HModa Group company

Beste – a company of the HModa Group and a point of reference in the Italian and international panorama for textile production and garment making – welcomed in the afternoon of Monday, April 15 2024, the Minister of the French Government for Business, Tourism and Consumer Affairs, Olivia Grégoire for a visit to the different production sites in Cantagallo and Prato. In the production scenario, Beste stands out for having built its own fully controlled and traceable production chain since 2001, thus interpreting the excellence of Made in Italy in the luxury sector at the international level.

The meeting offered the Minister the opportunity to explore closely the Italian production reality, characterized by its strong competitiveness despite the sector’s tendency to decentralize production to Eastern countries. The Italian industrial fabric, consolidated over time, continues to support the fashion system and in particular the luxury system globally, blending the rich heritage of craftsmanship with a constant commitment to innovation in production processes.

The collaboration between Italian manufacturing realities and prestigious luxury brands belonging to French groups is a solid and long-lasting bond, according to a dynamic of mutual benefit that represents the true essence of this exchange between supply and demand. It is based on the supply of high-level craftsmanship know-how, rooted mainly in Italian textile and manufacturing districts, which continue to be pioneers in the pursuit of quality and innovation.

Giovanni Santi, CEO of Beste, says, “We are honored to represent Made in Italy in the context of the fashion system and to illustrate our textile and apparel supply chain, which is totally Italian, extends from the raw material to the finished garment and operates, today, throughout the entire country.

Matteo Santi, Managing Director of Beste, continues: “This visit confirms the international recognition of competitiveness and interest in our production system. It is an opportunity to reflect on how crucial it is to invest in the sector in order to maintain world leadership in the development and manufacture of garments made with organic fabrics authentically “Made in Italy,” and therefore with high functional and innovative content.

Claudio Rovere, Founder and President of HModa, added, “We are extremely excited about the visit of the French Minister, Olivia Grégoire, to some of our Group’s facilities, as it highlights the institutional recognition to our commitment in promoting productive, social and economic cooperation, as well as craftsmanship in a partnership agreement between the two countries. Thanks to the French realities, which are strategic partners for HModa, both in terms of business and the fashion system, we look forward to the future of our collaborations with a mutual commitment to building a future of shared and sustainable growth.

23 January, 2024

Hind's subholding finalizes the acquisition of 100% of the Tuscan companies Emmetierre and Fast Pelle specializing in small leather goods, handbags and leather accessories, which have been serving the most important national and international luxury fashion houses for more than 40 years.

With this new operation, which flanks those of Gab (2021) and Taglionetto (2023), HModa diversifies and consolidates its positioning in the leather goods sector, continuing on its industrial path of investing in the excellence of the Italian fashion supply chain.

Holding Moda (HModa) has acquired 100% of Emmetierre and Fast Pelle, Florentine artisan companies specializing in the production of small leather goods and handbags for leading international luxury brands.

With this operation, HModa strengthens its presence in the leather goods segment, a sector already manned with the acquisitions of Gab (2021) and Taglionetto (December 2023), integrating specialized know-how and covering all the main types of leather processing. Investments are also already planned to enhance the synergy between the three companies, with Gab dedicating a space of about 4,000 square meters to Emmetierre, Fast Pelle and Taglionetto inside its new headquarters in Campi Bisenzio, with the aim of optimizing most of the activities into a single hub of excellence in leather goods by June 2024.

Based in Scandicci, in the province of Florence, Emmetierre has developed in the small leather goods segment since its founding in 1981. From a joint initiative of Fabio Tombelli and Stefania Romagnoli and the integration of Fast Pelle, a company specializing in cutting and preparation, over the years the company has expanded its product range to meet market needs. To date, it also includes leather handbags and accessories such as men’s and women’s wallets, clutches and pouches, mini-bags, key fobs, headphone cases, card cases, document holders, and the like, all designed and packaged in-house for high-end luxury brands. Emmetierre and Fast Pelle currently boast a staff of 37 highly skilled people.

Claudio Rovere, founder and chairman of Hind, said, “Through the integration of 100 percent of Emmetierre and Fast Pelle, HModa Group continues on its industrial path of investing in the excellence of Made in Italy. This new operation is part of a strategic project to develop leather processing, which boasts significant growth potential. The specific industrial project will be coordinated by Gab, a key company of the group as early as 2021, which will now be able to count on a total workforce of 260 employees, of which about a hundred will be new professionals resulting from the recent integrations of Emmetierre, Fast Pelle and Taglionetto.”

Fabio Tombelli, co-founder and co-owner of Emmetierre, said, “Becoming part of the HModa group is a source of great pride for us and represents an important confirmation of the value of our work, coming to crown a forty-year-long path made of quality, research and dedication.”

“This is a great opportunity for growth for Emmetierre and Fast Pelle,” concluded Stefania Romagnoli, co-owner of the two companies, “also guaranteed by the relationships of collaboration and exchange of know-how that we are already starting with the other companies in the group, all excellences in their respective areas of specialization, winning expressions of Made in Italy.”
