Hind’s sub-holding company has acquired a 60 per cent stake in the company based in the province of Perugia, which specialises in cashmere processing and has a well-established network of suppliers throughout the supply chain
HModa (Holding Moda) announces the acquisition of a 60 per cent stake in Manrico S.p.A., a leading manufacturer of the very highest quality cashmere garments. With this new transaction, HModa further expands its distinctive expertise, strengthening its offering with a new company that epitomises the excellence of ‘Made in Italy’, boasting a strong position in the high-end cashmere knitwear and fabrics segment and significant ongoing collaborations with leading luxury fashion houses.
Founded in 1993 in Perugia, Cashmirificio Manrico S.p.A. is renowned for its use of an exclusive selection of raw materials and the production of ultra-fine yarns, marketed under the name ‘supercashmere’, which guarantee unrivalled quality across all applications: knitwear, jersey and woven fabrics. Over the years, the company has built a solid network of relationships with all suppliers throughout the supply chain, thanks to a vertically integrated approach to production, managing every stage of the production cycle, from raw material sourcing to the finished product. With a production facility covering 6,500 square metres and a workforce of 55 employees, Manrico S.p.A. closed 2024 with a turnover of over 10.6 million euros.
Following this transaction, Manrico S.p.A. has joined the HModa Group’s Apparel Business Unit, thereby strengthening the Group’s offering in the ‘knitwear’ segment with high-quality products.
With the addition of Manrico S.p.A., HModa now boasts a diversified portfolio of 19 portfolio companies, including Uno Maglia (jersey clothing), Alex&Co. (leather garments), RBS (outerwear), Albachiara (lightweight women’s clothing), GAB (leather goods), Project (denim), Valmor, Dema and Alinea (footwear), Famar (men’s and women’s clothing), Rilievi and PuntoArt (embellishment and embroidery), Seriscreen (screen printing and printing on leather and fabrics), Fustellificio Toscano (dies and specialised leather processing), Beste (fabric and clothing production), Lanificio Arca (shuttle weaving of wool and cashmere), Taglionetto and Emmetierre (small leather goods), with a client portfolio that includes the world’s leading luxury brands.

HModa was advised by lawyers Gabriele Ramponi and Graziano Cucchi of Gianni & Origoni as legal advisers; the financial and tax aspects of the due diligence were handled by EY, with an accounting team comprising Andrea Eronidi and Laura Branda, and a tax team comprising Cristiano Margheri and Niccolò Puosi, whilst the firm Bertacco Recla & Partners dealt with the legal and employment law aspects, with a team comprising lawyers Carlo Periti and Beatrice Simeone. For the environmental due diligence, HModa was assisted by Team IISG srl – UL Solutions, coordinated by Miriam Cireddu. Manrico S.p.A. was assisted by lawyer Luca Pellicano as legal adviser, Auxesiscounseling srl as financial adviser, and Dr Massimo Bugatti and Dr Francesco Orlandi as accounting and tax advisers.
