HModa strengthens its organizational structure with two new appointments: Cesare Luzzana as Group General Manager of HModa and Gilles Lasbordes as General Manager of the newly established HModa France

22 May, 2025
22 May, 2025

Luzzana will be responsible for supervising and managing the projects and activities of the holding company, while Lasbordes will have the responsibility of leading the new office in Aubervilliers and strengthening relationships within the French territory.

As part of the consolidation of its organizational structure, HModa announces the appointment of Cesare Luzzana as Group General Manager of HModa and Gilles Lasbordes as General Manager of the newly established HModa France.

In his new role, Luzzana will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing operational and project activities, overseeing the achievement of the strategic development goals set by the holding company, and reporting directly to Claudio Rovere, President of HModa. Cesare Luzzana has built a career spanning over fifteen years in the operations of luxury brands such as Gucci, Armani, Jimmy Choo, and Frette, and possesses specialized know-how in the textile and leather goods sectors. Before joining HModa, Luzzana served as CEO of MTWH for four years, a group with many affinities to the industrial aggregation model that characterizes HModa. The new General Manager of HModa Group will therefore bring extensive experience in the B2B sector, with well-established expertise in managing economic-financial aspects, business processes, and IT.

In order to strengthen its presence and positioning in France, HModa has established its local operational subsidiary, HModa France, which will be led by Gilles Lasbordes as General Manager. In his new role, Lasbordes will be responsible for exploring and driving growth operations in France, as well as consolidating relationships with major French luxury maisons and further developing the Group’s institutional relations. Among Lasbordes’ duties is also the implementation of a new hub in Aubervilliers, a strategic center for manufacturing development and the Group’s Parisian showcase.

After earning a specialized Master’s degree at the Institut Français de la Mode, Lasbordes began his career in 1995, holding positions as Buyer, Consultant, Sales Director, and General Manager. Since 2004, his professional path has been closely linked to Première Vision, where he managed several international trade fairs. In 2013, he was appointed General Manager of Première Vision and, from 2020, he has led the fashion division born from the acquisition of the trade show for young designers, Tranoï. His deep knowledge of the supply chain and key players in the textile, apparel, and leather sectors gives him an international strategic vision. Additionally, Lasbordes is a member of the IFM Alumni Board of Directors and served for several years on the Board of Directors of the Paris Good Fashion association.

Claudio Rovere, founder and President of Hind, commented: “In this phase of expansion and consolidation for HModa, it is with great pleasure that we welcome these two new professionals, key figures for the Group’s future growth in Italy and France, both crucial markets in the global luxury sector.

Cesare Luzzana has embraced the HModa project with great enthusiasm, recognizing the Group’s potential. We believe he can make a significant contribution thanks to his previous experience in the fashion world and his direct knowledge of the industrial dynamics of luxury brands.

Gilles Lasbordes, for his part, will be able to give strong momentum to the Aubervilliers project, which aims to create a strategic center for the commercial development of manufacturing, also serving as a showcase for the Group in France. His contribution will also be important in managing our investments in France, which are part of HModa’s international development strategy.”

19 May, 2025

Today marks the start of a 400-hour tailor-made training program, the result of a collaboration between Accademia HModa and Loro Piana. Aimed at 15 selected participants, the course will take place at Ente Formativo Calzaturiero in Civitanova Marche.

This new initiative confirms HModa's growing commitment to education, in partnership with the most important luxury maisons, to preserve and pass on the technical skills and savoir-faire of Made in Italy, contributing to the protection of Italian artisanal excellence.

The training program, in total 400 hours, will involve 15 selected Loro Piana employees and will focus on hand-stitching and upper preparation, offering a highly specialized and professionalizing approach. Students will take theoretical lessons covering fundamental topics such as pattern making, shoe development and industrialization, raw materials, the production process, and workplace safety. These will be complemented by practical sessions in preparation, upper stitching, and hand sewing, with the opportunity to delve into themes such as the luxury world in collaboration with Métiers d’Excellence LVMH.

The faculty includes specialized professionals from Accademia HModa and technical and production representatives from Loro Piana. Thanks to direct interaction and constant alignment between the training program and company needs, they will ensure a solid and in-depth technical education.

The course developed with Loro Piana is the latest in a series of high-level training projects promoted by Accademia HModa for some of the world’s most important luxury maisons — a journey that reaffirms the central role of education in the industrial and cultural vision of the HModa Group.

Claudio Rovere, founder and President of Hind, comments: “Tailor-made training is one of the key drivers in effectively supporting companies in the sector in developing in-house skills. It contributes both to preserving the precious Italian artisanal heritage and to passing it on effectively to new generations. This project demonstrates the effectiveness and organizational capabilities through which HModa, via Accademia HModa, is able to precisely and strategically meet the training needs of leading international maisons, further strengthening the strategic link between training, the local area, and younger generations.”

HModa achieves Gender Equality Certification (UNI/PDR 125:2022) and looks to the future with new inclusion projects

12 May, 2025
12 May, 2025

The recognition consolidates the Group's commitment to more equitable and participatory work environments, supporting an increasingly responsible approach to corporate culture and structure.

An important step forward on HModa's path of sustainability and people empowerment, which will be enriched with new initiatives on training, internal listening and organizational well-being.

As part of its ESG and sustainable development path, HModa (Holding Moda) announces the achievement by the parent company and ten Group companies of the Certification for Gender Equality (UNI/PDR 125:2022), a recognition that attests to the concrete commitment to gender equality and the enhancement of human capital.

An achievement that involves more than 800 employees in the first 10 certified companies, demonstrating the scope and organizational relevance of the path undertaken. The certification – introduced at the regulatory level at the end of 2022 – is the result of a strategy that HModa adopted well before it was formalized at the practice level, and today represents an important stage in a commitment destined to continue and extend to the Group’s other companies.

Launched in 2023, the certification journey covered an in-depth assessment of six areas: culture and strategy, governance, HR processes, growth opportunities, pay equity, and work-life balance. Compared to an initial average of 30-40 percent of KPIs met, today all certified companies exceed 60 percent, with some reaching peaks of 80-90 percent, against assessment criteria made progressively more stringent between 2023 and 2025.

Veronica Bovo, Chief Sustainability Officer, and Fabio Longo, Chief People Officer, say: “We chose to undertake this path because it is deeply rooted in our corporate values. We believe that proper diversity management is a driver of innovation, and that corporate culture is built around people development, following the principles of respect and collaboration. The Gender Equality certification is not an end point for us, but a tool to measure progress and continue to improve”.

The journey toward full equality does not end with certification. All Group companies, including those not yet within the scope of certification, are in fact developing initiatives to consolidate and deepen the commitment, including training courses aimed particularly at those involved in the selection and management of human resources. Listening, support and assistance services are also being developed on the ground, geared toward inclusiveness and collective well-being.

Claudio Rovere, President and Founder of Hind, underlines: “This achievement confirms the centrality of people in HModa’s vision and is part of a broader journey to build a conscious, responsible and sustainable supply chain. Investing in gender equality also means investing in the quality of professional relationships and the ability of our companies to meet the challenges of the future”.

The certification adds to the Group’s more than 40 active projects in the areas of environment, circularity, supply chain traceability and training, consolidating HModa’s role as an industrial platform serving the excellence of Made in Italy fashion and manufacturing.

HModa strengthens commitment to training future Made in Italy talents

2 April, 2025
2 April, 2025

In 2025, Accademia HModa will organize courses for 200 students, among 11 different training paths delivered in partnership with institutions and several leading companies in the supply chain in Tuscany, Veneto and Marche

On the school orientation side, the “ Storie di Futuro - Made in Italy” training initiative, which involved more than 1,400 students in six Italian regions, home to Italy's main fashion districts, comes to a successful close

Accademia HModa Società Benefit srl today represents a benchmark for the growth of highly qualified talent for the luxury and Made in Italy industry. Since 2023, Accademia HModa has operated as a benefit company, confirming its commitment and investment in a sustainable and responsible future.

Through innovative vocational training paths and orientation programs such as “ Storie di Futuro” in secondary schools, Accademia HModa promotes generational change and supports the link between education and employment, enhancing the craft professions and responding to the sector’s need for sustainability and growth.

Claudio Rovere, founder and president of Hind, commented, “We are proud to see Accademia HModa grow with such a significant impact on the education and employment of new generations of professionals. In a context where craftsmanship and technical skills represent an invaluable heritage for our country, it is crucial to ensure that the excellence of Made in Italy is handed down and enhanced.

The success of Storie di Futuro, with a remarkable involvement of students and teachers, also shows how important it is for the sector to invest also in the growth and training of new generations, working to bring them closer to the sector and thus encourage the generational change necessary to ensure the maintenance of the excellence that has always distinguished Made in Italy in the world.

In addition to meeting the needs of Group companies, investing in the training of specialized figures and inspiring new generations is therefore a strategic choice to preserve and innovate the Italian manufacturing tradition.”

Innovative and Specialized Training Courses

In response to the growing difficulty of companies in finding specialized personnel, Accademia HModa is committed to providing excellent training courses aimed at hiring, integrating theoretical lessons with intensive practical training in teaching laboratories based in the Tuscany, Veneto and Marche regions. To date, the average hiring rate is 75% of trainees, placed mainly in Group companies, as well as in client companies or along the supply chain.

In the last years, Accademia HModa has experienced steady growth in the number of courses offered, the involvement of companies, and the number of students, which by 2025 will reach about 200 participants on 11 distinct training paths through collaboration with most of the HModa Group companies, leaders in various sectors from textiles and apparel to leather goods and footwear. This progress highlights Accademia HModa’s strategic role as a bridge between training and employment, with a focus on enhancing the historical professions of high fashion and districts.

Accademia HModa offers differentiated paths, suitable both for young talents who want to learn the techniques of haute couture, and for those who want to enter the Group’s companies professionally.

To this end, Accademia HModa has developed specific initiatives for each area of Made in Italy, in line with the skills of the different HModa Business Units. Special projects include:

  • Ente Formativo Calzaturiero delle Marche (EFC): inaugurated in April 2024, the training center created near Calzaturificio Valmor – an HModa Group shoe factory specializing in the production of men’s sneakers and headquartered and in Civitanova Marche – EFC is recognized by the Marche Region for the training of high-end footwear artisans. Following the success of the first and second editions, the institution will expand its training offerings in 2025, including new courses focused on training new resources for specific stages of the production process. With an intensive program of 600 hours, including 240 hours of in-company internships, EFC enables participants, 15 people per class, to obtain an EQF3 level certificate, with at least 51% of the trainees placed.
  • Districts Academy: a training initiative with the sportswear hub of Project – an HModa Group company based in San Tomio di Malo (VI) that specializes in denim and sportswear – and RBS – an HModa Group company based in Lendinara (RO) that produces outerwear – that includes 250 hours of theoretical-practical training to a group of 12 students, with a certificate of participation and certification on safety, designed to gain access to the corporate team.

Storie di Futuro – Made in Italy

The training of HModa and its Accademia is not only aimed at training employment-ready figures, but also at the systemic goal of fostering a deeper generational change in the sector. With the beginning of 2025, in fact, the first edition of “Storie di Future – Made in Italy”, the school orientation course aimed at secondary schools in six Italian regions (Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Marche and Campania), desired by HModa and Accademia HModa, in collaboration with the certified training provider La Fabbrica, a benefit company and educational communication agency associated with the UNA network, closed with a more than positive balance.

The initiative – launched at the end of 2023 with the aim of introducing very young people to the professions and trades of Made in Italy fashion and orienting them to choose high schools with a job outlet in the sector in order to contribute to generational turnover in a strategic sector for the Italian economy – saw the overall participation of 1,442 middle school students from all over the territory, divided among 27 classroom meetings to discover the opportunities offered by the textile, fashion and accessories supply chain. Of these, 375 students also participated in company visits, touching production processes and meeting professional figures among the industry’s best excellences.

In addition, on the web portal dedicated to the project – www.storiedifuturo.it1,605 students tested themselves with a playful-training test, useful for discovering their attitudes. To support teachers, 366 teachers enrolled in the training course on guidance teaching.

Within “ Storie di Futuro,” excellent numbers were also obtained by “Bee a Maker”, a sub-project aimed at a more adult audience (from high school fifth grade students onwards), in which 43 young people were able to participate in meetings organized to get to know HModa companies, thus fostering initial contacts and also taking advantage of the opportunity to leave their CVs.

HModa presents co-LAB 18 in Milan: The Group’s 18 companies unite for a unique collaboration celebrating Made in Italy

4 December, 2024
4 December, 2024

Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 December 2024 the Officine del Volo hosted co-LAB 18, the event celebrating the know-how of Made in Italy craftsmanship at the service of leading Italian and international fashion houses. This is a collaboration between the Group's 18 companies, interpreted by a selection of garments on display, specially created to highlight the research and craftsmanship that distinguishes each company in the Group.

The co-LAB project is an initiative by Holding Moda (HModa) was developed to strengthen collaboration with prestigious clients, involving them in research on materials, craftsmanship, and production processes carried out within the Group’s companies, which stand as flagships of Italian artisanal excellence. Despite their distinct product specializations, HModa’s various entities share values and growth perspectives that make them unique and complementary.

This project, presented in Milan on 4-5 December, 2024, at Officine del Volo, celebrates the expertise of Italian craftsmanship serving major Italian and international fashion houses. Co-LAB 18 is the culmination of synergies among the Group’s 18 companies. By sharing their specific expertise and the outcomes of their research on materials and processes, they have created a selection of unique and innovative garments, a spark for new creativity.

Following two editions of co-LAB in Paris at the HModa Showroom&Lab, HModa has chosen to mark its debut in Milan with the collaboration of Roman director Chiara Sabatini and cinematographer Yann Stofer for the creation of the short film STELLE.
STELLE offers an overview of the hidden reality behind every garment skilfully produced by the Group’s companies. It is a journey through intimate portraits of gazes, hands, and words of those who, with passion and talent, transform ideas into masterpieces to wear: the artisans, those “unknown stars” as the director defines them.

Claudio Rovere, Founder and President of HIND and HModa, said: “HModa was created to bring together virtuous companies that represent the excellence of Italian manufacturing, with the aim of celebrating Made in Italy and preserving the valuable artisanal knowledge that makes us famous worldwide. Serving Italian brands with our expertise makes us even prouder of the heritage we preserve. This is why we’re bringing the co-LAB project to Italy: to share with our Italian clients the innovations and research conducted within the Group, resulting in unique projects that encapsulate all the potential of Made in Italy.”

Simona Finelli, co-founder of Rilievi Group Srl and director of the co-LAB project, added: “From the beginning, we envisioned co-LAB as a blank canvas for HModa companies to tell a story where experiences, cultures, skills, and visions intersect. Co-LAB means being part of a Group, and its creations visually represent how the savoir-faire of one company complements that of the other. Behind the design of every garment there are worlds to discover and emotions to feel. Over the years, I’ve learned that beauty has weight, and Chiara Sabatini’s perspective allowed us to tell this story. Co-LAB aims to be an open space where creativity circulates, sensitivity expands, and art tells stories of fashion. I hope our guests are enveloped in all of this.”

16 April, 2024

The role of Made in Italy in the context of global luxury: Minister Olivia Grégoire's visit to Beste SpA, an HModa Group company

Beste – a company of the HModa Group and a point of reference in the Italian and international panorama for textile production and garment making – welcomed in the afternoon of Monday, April 15 2024, the Minister of the French Government for Business, Tourism and Consumer Affairs, Olivia Grégoire for a visit to the different production sites in Cantagallo and Prato. In the production scenario, Beste stands out for having built its own fully controlled and traceable production chain since 2001, thus interpreting the excellence of Made in Italy in the luxury sector at the international level.

The meeting offered the Minister the opportunity to explore closely the Italian production reality, characterized by its strong competitiveness despite the sector’s tendency to decentralize production to Eastern countries. The Italian industrial fabric, consolidated over time, continues to support the fashion system and in particular the luxury system globally, blending the rich heritage of craftsmanship with a constant commitment to innovation in production processes.

The collaboration between Italian manufacturing realities and prestigious luxury brands belonging to French groups is a solid and long-lasting bond, according to a dynamic of mutual benefit that represents the true essence of this exchange between supply and demand. It is based on the supply of high-level craftsmanship know-how, rooted mainly in Italian textile and manufacturing districts, which continue to be pioneers in the pursuit of quality and innovation.

Giovanni Santi, CEO of Beste, says, “We are honored to represent Made in Italy in the context of the fashion system and to illustrate our textile and apparel supply chain, which is totally Italian, extends from the raw material to the finished garment and operates, today, throughout the entire country.

Matteo Santi, Managing Director of Beste, continues: “This visit confirms the international recognition of competitiveness and interest in our production system. It is an opportunity to reflect on how crucial it is to invest in the sector in order to maintain world leadership in the development and manufacture of garments made with organic fabrics authentically “Made in Italy,” and therefore with high functional and innovative content.

Claudio Rovere, Founder and President of HModa, added, “We are extremely excited about the visit of the French Minister, Olivia Grégoire, to some of our Group’s facilities, as it highlights the institutional recognition to our commitment in promoting productive, social and economic cooperation, as well as craftsmanship in a partnership agreement between the two countries. Thanks to the French realities, which are strategic partners for HModa, both in terms of business and the fashion system, we look forward to the future of our collaborations with a mutual commitment to building a future of shared and sustainable growth.
