Today marks the start of a 400-hour tailor-made training program, the result of a collaboration between Accademia HModa and Loro Piana. Aimed at 15 selected participants, the course will take place at Ente Formativo Calzaturiero in Civitanova Marche.
This new initiative confirms HModa's growing commitment to education, in partnership with the most important luxury maisons, to preserve and pass on the technical skills and savoir-faire of Made in Italy, contributing to the protection of Italian artisanal excellence.
The training program, in total 400 hours, will involve 15 selected Loro Piana employees and will focus on hand-stitching and upper preparation, offering a highly specialized and professionalizing approach. Students will take theoretical lessons covering fundamental topics such as pattern making, shoe development and industrialization, raw materials, the production process, and workplace safety. These will be complemented by practical sessions in preparation, upper stitching, and hand sewing, with the opportunity to delve into themes such as the luxury world in collaboration with Métiers d’Excellence LVMH.
The faculty includes specialized professionals from Accademia HModa and technical and production representatives from Loro Piana. Thanks to direct interaction and constant alignment between the training program and company needs, they will ensure a solid and in-depth technical education.
The course developed with Loro Piana is the latest in a series of high-level training projects promoted by Accademia HModa for some of the world’s most important luxury maisons — a journey that reaffirms the central role of education in the industrial and cultural vision of the HModa Group.
Claudio Rovere, founder and President of Hind, comments: “Tailor-made training is one of the key drivers in effectively supporting companies in the sector in developing in-house skills. It contributes both to preserving the precious Italian artisanal heritage and to passing it on effectively to new generations. This project demonstrates the effectiveness and organizational capabilities through which HModa, via Accademia HModa, is able to precisely and strategically meet the training needs of leading international maisons, further strengthening the strategic link between training, the local area, and younger generations.”
