The partnership with IFM, with whom HModa has been collaborating for the past three years in delivering training courses at different levels, is strengthened
HModa (Holding Moda) is pleased to announce its membership in the Institut Français de la Mode (IFM) Foundation, with the aim of promoting dialogue between industry and young talent.
This initiative marks a strengthening of the collaboration between HModa and the IFM, which has already been active for three years with the aim of creating a direct connection between creativity and craftsmanship. HModa is in fact involved in the Master of Arts in Fashion Design and Accessory Design courses, particularly in the development of leather goods and, more recently, footwear. The Group’s academic commitment is articulated on several fronts: in fact, workshops dedicated to product development are held at HModa Showroom&Lab in Paris, as well as masterclasses focused on supply chain issues, such as sustainability and environmental impact during the industrialization phases, in addition to modules focused on innovation in digital prototyping. The collaboration also includes onsite visits to some of the Group’s companies, within which students have the opportunity to learn about HModa’s production realities.
By joining the Foundation, HModa will be able to intensify its support for the school, consolidating its role in training future talents in the industry and actively contributing to new initiatives of the Institute, including funding scholarships for deserving students, supporting academic research and promoting new innovative educational projects. HModa’s membership in the IFM Foundation thus represents another concrete commitment to support education, research and diversity in the international fashion scene.

Claudio Rovere, founder and president of Hind, commented as follows:
“Our membership in the IFM Foundation testifies to HModa’s willingness to invest in talent and creativity, key elements for the future of the luxury sector. We are thrilled to be able to support IFM in its commitment to supporting craftsmanship, innovation and excellence by fostering an increasingly open, dynamic and inclusive educational ecosystem that helps build a bridge between two of the world’s greatest manufacturing traditions.”
Bérangère Pagès, Director General of the IFM Foundation, said:
“We are very happy to welcome HModa as a partner of the IFM Foundation and deeply grateful for their commitment to social scholarships for the institute’s students.
This close collaboration also gives students access to the wealth of artisanal knowledge represented by all the manufactures of this international group. In this way, HModa actively participates in the training of tomorrow’s talents.”
Details of the educational collaboration:
Currently, the educational collaboration between HModa and IFM is developed through dedicated projects within the fashion, accessory and shoe design courses:
- HModa x Master of Arts – Fashion Design: students have the opportunity to meet entrepreneurs and experts from the Group, who accompany them in the creation of some garments of their end-of-year collection to be presented during the opening shows of Paris Fashion Week®.
- HModa x Master of Arts – Accessory Design / Leather Good Design and Shoe Design: students collaborate with Gab, head of HModa’s Leather Business Unit, to develop parts of their own end-of-year collection to be presented during an event in Paris in the fall.
Following the same model, IFM students wishing to specialize in footwear design collaborate with those of Ente Formativo Calzaturiero delle Marche (EFC Marche), the new training center of Accademia HModa specializing in high-end footwear, located near the Valmor company in Civitanova Marche.
In this synergistic project, which combines creativity and craftsmanship expertise, the young talents of IFM are in charge of the creative development of the project, while EFC students and professionals from HModa’s Footwear Business Unit provide their technical expertise for the realization of the designed footwear.
Throughout the entire process, from design to prototyping, artisans are tasked with translating the creative concept into a finished product that combines design and technical know-how.
This initiative, entitled “Monter la Première Marche”, is being launched for the first time this year and marks an important development in the cooperation between the two institutions.
In addition, HModa welcomed students from the Summer School and Master’s in International Fashion & Luxury Management courses.
