SLIP-ON SNEAKER WITH MIGNON WEAVE

The “Slip-On with Mignon Weave” arises from the collaboration between VALMOR, RILIEVI, and ALEX&Co., representing material research and artisanal innovation applied to footwear.

The model is a slip-on sneaker made entirely of Mignon leather supplied by ALEX&Co., transformed into a hand-woven upper by RILIEVI. In this construction, the weave itself forms the upper: the model is not overlaid but created directly from a hand-braided leather tape lattice inspired by Viennese straw weaving.

This process gives the shoe a three-dimensional, perforated effect, combining visual lightness, breathability, and sophisticated tactility while maintaining structural solidity and comfort.

Once the woven panels are complete, they are sent to VALMOR, which precisely mounts them on the sole and finishes the sneaker, ensuring continuity of the artisanal pattern and balance between aesthetics and functionality.

The result is an essential, contemporary slip-on, emblematic of the synergy between craftsmanship, innovation, and Italian savoir-faire, combining technical research and material beauty.
