KNITWEAR WITH HAND WEAVING

The “Knitwear with Hand Weaving” represents one of the highest expressions of material experimentation and artisanal craft, characterizing the collaboration between RILIEVI, Manrico, and GAB. The garment merges fine knitwear research with manual leather craftsmanship, resulting in a piece that is unique in both technical complexity and aesthetic value.

The central part of the garment is made with multicolor leather tape, produced by GAB by folding three different calf leather shades at regular intervals to create a uniform, textured base.

This tape is entirely hand-woven by RILIEVI, braided into a mouliné-knit effect that generates a three-dimensional, dynamic texture, combining technical rigor with tactile expressiveness.

The knit parts — hems, sleeves, and collar — are made by MANRICO, a specialist in cashmere, using pure cashmere yarn in 5-gauge, providing softness, comfort, and warmth.

The garment is finally assembled by RILIEVI, precisely joining the leather weave to the knit, achieving a harmonious result where artisanal tradition, innovation, and material research coexist in perfect balance.
