HOODED SWEATSHIRT WITH BONDED LEATHER-JERSEY

This hooded sweatshirt is developed by UNO MAGLIA in collaboration with ALEX&Co., GAB, and BESTE Textile Division.

The base fabric is ITACO cotton jersey produced by BESTE through a fully verticalized supply chain: from cotton cultivation in Puglia to internal spinning and weaving, ensuring full traceability and consistent quality.

Research nappa leather provided by GAB is applied to the base, thinned to minimal thickness for maximum flexibility and comfort.

The two components — leather and jersey — are bonded using advanced technical adhesives designed to maintain elasticity and softness without altering the natural feel of the materials.

The result is a hybrid textile: soft jersey on the inside and a compact, clean nappa leather surface on the outside, creating a “second skin” effect.

Bonding and assembly are carried out by ALEX&Co., while pattern development is managed by UNO MAGLIA.

Ribbed cuffs and hems, also made from the lightweight nappa leather, complete the garment with material and formal continuity.

The result is a sophisticated, lightweight, contemporary sweatshirt that combines traditional jersey expertise with technical leather innovation.
