Description + -

The “Fisherman Vest” model represents a perfect example of integration between textile, manufacturing, and artisanal expertise, born from the collaboration between Beste, GAB, and RILIEVI. The garment reflects a refined balance between technical research, material traceability, and craftsmanship.

The main fabric is an exclusive openable double-faced material developed by BESTE Textile Division, combining a superfine RWS-certified wool (Responsible Wool Standard) with fully traceable ITACO cotton. The cotton comes from direct cultivation on Beste-owned land in Puglia and is handled internally through all phases — from cultivation to spinning and weaving — ensuring control, traceability, and constant quality.

The fabric is processed using a double-layer technique called tecnodouble: once the double fabric is opened halfway and the excess bonding is removed, it is folded back onto itself and closed with two stitch lines one at the edge and the other at 0.7 cm. This results in a hem-less finish with a clean, sophisticated appearance.

The leather tape is supplied by GAB, which selects and processes 0.3 cm leathers folded onto themselves, ensuring clean and precise edges. These elements are then entrusted to RILIEVI, which internally hand-weaves the leather as if it were wool yarn, creating a leather knit panel, used in the signature pockets of the fisherman vest.

Finally, the garment is shaped, assembled, and finished by Beste, harmoniously integrating the components from the other Group’s companies. The result is a vest of high technical complexity and artisanal value, symbolizing a cohesive and innovative Italian supply chain, where collaboration becomes a hallmark of quality and style.
