COAT WITH STUD EMBROIDERY

The “Coat with Stud Embroidery” was developed by ALEX&Co., combining material experimentation with sartorial precision to offer a contemporary vision of outerwear.

The base material is Casentino-effect leather developed by DEMA, obtained through surface treatment research. Controlled mechanical brushing brings out a short, uniform nap that visually and tactilely recalls traditional Casentino cloth, while preserving the flexibility and natural structure of full-grain leather.

After patterning and cutting by ALEX&Co., sections of the garment — particularly the collar and lapels — are sent to PUNTOART for micro-stud decoration. The studs are applied via punching and pressing along a calibrated design, creating a diffuse luminosity and refined contrast with the leather surface.

Once decorated, the panels return to ALEX&Co. for assembly and finishing, ensuring aligned textures and clean seams.

The result is a sophisticated coat with a strong material identity, reflecting the synergy between leather innovation, precision decoration, and sartorial know-how.
