CHEMISIER DRESS WITH 0.3 CM MIGNON

The “Chemisier Dress with 0.3 cm Mignon” originates from a material and tailoring research project developed by FAMAR, combining the transparency and the lightness of silk organza with the artisanal precision of hand-worked leather. The result is an ethereal and sophisticated garment, that reflects the synergy of the different expertise across the supply chain.

The base of the garment is made of silk organza, an airy and luminous fabric that provides lightness, transparency, and visual dimensionality. On this surface, a 0.3 cm leather mignon, supplied and prepared by ALEX&Co., is applied, using high-quality natural white nappa leather selected for its fineness and softness.

The mignon is applied through Cornely embroidery, executed by PUNTOART, which stitches the leather tape continuously and evenly across all garment pieces, creating a refined and uniform micro-striping effect. The result is a thin, continuous leather surface that preserves the underlying organza’s transparency while enhancing its lightness.

During assembly, FAMAR carefully aligns the leather segments along the seams, ensuring perfect continuity of the tapes even at junctions.

The entirely hand-executed assembly requires high artisanal skill and meticulous attention to detail, transforming a lightweight garment into an example of technical tailoring and material innovation.
