Description + -

The project involves a shoulder backpack developed by GAB, integrating the company’s leather craftmanship tradition with the advanced textile research of BESTE Textile Division.
The base of the bag is made from an exclusive fabric that combines ITACO cotton with a recycled leather thread, produced on mechanical shuttle looms with selvage edges to highlight craftsmanship and constructive quality.
The ITACO cotton, cultivated and spun internally by BESTE through a fully verticalized supply chain, ensures total traceability and quality, while the recycled leather —sourced from selected industrial waste— is shredded and applied onto a fine nylon core, creating a durable, innovative, and sustainable material.

After the pattern is developed by GAB, the body panels are sent to PUNTOART for Cornely quilting through a combined process: leather is first laminated onto the fabric and then laser-cut into thin vertical strips.
This process generates a rhythmic, three-dimensional pinstripe effect that gives the backpack a graphic and sophisticated character.

Once the decorative work is complete, the panels return to GAB for assembly, finishing, and the application of accessories and hardware, ensuring aesthetic continuity and construction precision.

The result is a technical, contemporary accessory in which leather and fabric interact through innovative, high-quality craftsmanship.
