BIKER JACKET WITH KNIT SECTIONS
ALEX&CO.
Apparel
This hybrid biker jacket, developed by ALEX&Co., combines Casentino-effect leather with cashmere knit panels to create a garment with strong technical and artisanal character.
The base leather is DEMA research leather, obtained through mechanical brushing and carding to create a short, uniform nap that provides a soft, full-bodied surface reminiscent of Casentino cloth, while maintaining the strength and structure of the leather.
During development, ALEX&Co. patterns and cuts the leather sections, while the knit panels are produced by MANRICO, a specialist in high-end knitwear.
MANRICO creates 100% cashmere panels in 5-gauge pearl stitch— a dense, tactile, and three-dimensional knit with controlled flexibility suitable for leather-knit assembly.
The panels then return to ALEX&Co., where they are integrated with the leather sections to achieve a harmonious balance of structure and softness, with the sleeves, front, and knit details paired with central Casentino-effect leather panels.
The result is a sophisticated, contemporary jacket that merges leather tradition with the technical refinement of high-quality knitwear, reflecting a considered balance of material research and artisanal craftsmanship.
